Albuquerque man tells FBI he was holding fentanyl pills for a friend

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The FBI said an Albuquerque man gave them the oldest excuse when they found a large amount of fentanyl at his home. Angel Garcia-Martinez claimed he was holding it for a friend and is now charged federally for drug possession and trafficking.

Last Thursday, agents searched his northwest Albuquerque home and found 110,000 fentanyl pills, four rifles, two pistols, and ammo. When asked about the pills, Garcia-Martinez told the FBI a friend paid him $500 to hold on to the pills, and this is the fifth time he’s done it.
