ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — Local residents of all ages came out on Friday morning for the world’s largest swimming lesson. The city’s park and rec’s aquatic team offered 30 minutes swimming lessons to everyone from toddlers to adults at the West Mesa Aquatic Center.

This is the city’s second time participating in this global event. The city says it is important to do swim lessons because the leading cause of accidental death in children is drowning.
