Justice sought for woman killed last year in hit and run

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One year after an Albuquerque woman was killed in a hit-and-run in northeast Albuquerque, her family is still searching for justice. Saturday afternoon, they came together to raise awareness.

“It’s the hard truth of knowing that the world doesn’t stop because my child was killed. It moves on and it goes forward. That’s frustrating,” said Cynthia Madrid, Jeneva’s mom.

Jeneva Salazar, 25, was the victim of a suspected hit-and-run at the intersection of Harper Drive and Harper Place. The family says they were told a witness found Jeneva lying in the middle of the road last June.
