Jose Luis Sanchez to be featured on upcoming Manny Pacquiao fight card

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque’s own Jose Luis “Guerro” Sanchez will be back in the ring on July 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sanchez will be on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Mario Barrios fight card. Pacquiao is coming out of retirement to try and win his 5th Welterweight World Title as he takes on Barrios, who is the current WBC Champion.

Sanchez is excited to be a part of this card because it will not only be a big fight for his career, but it’s also a bucket list item to fight on the same card as Pacquiao. “That’s a dream come true. I mean, I have worked hard, and just to fight in Vegas at the MGM, that’s big. You know, I can’t wait for that to happen, and you know it’s the first time I will be fighting on a Pacquiao card, and I get to meet him, I mean that’s going to be tight. Manny Pacquiao is one of the fighters that I like, and I mean, to fight on his card that’s a dream come true,” said Jose Luis Sanchez.

Sanchez (14-5-1) will take on a tough opponent in Abel Ramos (28-6-3), but a win on July 19 could lead to big things for Sanchez. “This guy is a ranked fighter, and go in there and beat him, and you know, it gets me in the rankings and to be able to fight for a world title. So, he fought the guy that is fighting Pacquiao his last fight and got a draw. So, getting his spot would be cool. He is a pressure fighter, so he goes in there and puts on a lot of pressure. He’s a slow starter, though. So, I just need to take advantage and use my footwork, hit him and move around, just go out there and show my skills, everything, and get that victory,” said Sanchez…
