ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque family is grateful and amazed no one was hurt after a pickup truck crashed through the wall of their home. KRQE News 13 spoke to that family about the terrifying experience.
Cell phone video shows a red pickup truck wedged into an Albuquerque home on Tuesday, June 24. Just on the other side of that wall is what remains of a bedroom belonging to 15-year-old Zayden Luna. And just a few moments before the crash, “I was playing video games, I was chilling after work,” said Lunas. Before he got up, he went to the kitchen to heat some noodles. That’s when he heard a loud bang. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, someone is shooting up the house, something’s happening, a bomb or something,’” said Luna.
Luna went back to his bedroom to find that the truck was taking up almost the entire room. Luna’s mother, Keitel Vicuna, was on her way home from work and got a call from the neighbor telling her what happened.

“I was very relieved to hear that my son was okay, but I didn’t think there was a lot of damage until I saw it,” said Vicuna. She said it’s lucky her son happened to be in the kitchen. “I’m just thankful for the noodles like I’m gonna be real, those noodles basically saved me,” said Luna…
