Mud Day encouraging community to learn, get dirty

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Saturday is International Mud Day, and visitors at the Open Space Visitor Center off of Coors made sure to make a mess. There were educational workshops related to mud and soil, classes about earthworms, and the most important lesson: how to make the perfect mud pie.

“It’s a chance for the kids to jump in the mud, have fun, and get as dirty as they want and not get in trouble for it for once,” says a parent in attendance.

The event was free to the public. Everyone was encouraged to bring a change of clothes and plenty of towels…
