ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Mexico has announced its intent to seek the death penalty for a Zuni Pueblo man accused of a series of violent crimes committed against indigenous men. Labar Tsethlikai is accused of kidnapping, sexually abusing, and killing several indigenous men experiencing homelessness or addiction from 2022 to 2024.
Leader Of Albuquerque FBI Steps Down
In July of 2024, he was indicted on 11 charges for the crimes committed against six victims. In December, five more victims were uncovered, bringing the total number of charges to 17. On Friday, U.S. Attorney Ryan Ellison filed notice of intent to seek the death penalty in his case.
