Dust storm warning in effect for Albuquerque on Monday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — Albuquerque is under a dust storm warning as of late Monday evening. The warning will remain in place until 5 p.m. on Monday, June 30.

According to NWS, travel could be dangerous or life-threatening as visibility is expected to drop to near zero. Drivers are asked to “pull aside, stay alive.” If visibility drops, the NWS advises pulling far off the road and putting the vehicle in park. The lights should be turned off, with your foot off the brake.

Stage I fire restrictions to be issued in La Plata County, Colorado

Infants, the elderly, and anyone with respiratory issues are asked to take precautions.
