Cottonwood Mall air conditioning issues force stores to brave brutal temperatures

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After being forced to close due to air conditioning problems, the Cottonwood Mall is back open. But even weeks after its reopening, vendors say the AC is still not working, and stores are forced to stay closed.

“We don’t know the fact that is it fixed or not because you can feel it right now. You walk around, it’s still hot,” said Dipo Alam, owner of Paleta Bar and Potato Corner.

Business owners at the mall are fed up. The inconsistent air flow and sweltering heat is driving business away, ruining product, and causing equipment to break down…
