Las Cruces amateur boxer Joscelyn Olayo-Munoz among nation’s best fighters for Team USA

Joscelyn Olayo-Munoz’s rise to the top of amateur boxing in the United States has been an extraordinary journey but not unexpected because of her passion and love for the sport.

The 17-year-old Olayo-Munoz, who recently graduated from Las Cruces High School and trains at the Dona Ana Boxing Gym, was named captain of USA Boxing’s Youth Select team after participating in team trials at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in May.
