BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Silver Ave. between 4th and 5th street in Albuquerque will be closed through the end of 2025 for a skybridge construction project at Alvarado Square. The road closure will allow crews to safely use a crane to lift materials.
Proposed project would add bicycling-centric upgrades along Buena Vista in Albuquerque
The construction project involves the roof of the skybridge at Alvarado Square and will resolve ongoing water intrusion issues. The building will remain open and pedestrian access will not be affected. The project was approved by the Bernalillo County Board of commissioners on April 8, and will be managed by Facilities and Fleet Management Department.
