Albuquerque home invasion victim scares off accused burglar with gun

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A terrifying morning for a father, in a wheelchair, and his son in a southeast Albuquerque apartment, when a man on the run from police burst into their home. Albuquerque police said before this incident, Salas had broken into another home, and officers were trying to chase him down. Officers followed him after deploying a GPS dart on his car and then pursued him on foot. Nichogi said with a history of other break-ins in the neighborhood, he is prepared. “You know, I have video footage of all the five years’ worth of incidents and I’m expecting it,” said Nichogi.
