[1] Bernalillo County properties see increase in value – Some Bernalillo County property owners could be in for shock when they get their tax bills this year. This, as the county assessor catches up on years of uncompleted property assessments. These higher property values come as counties in New Mexico kick up efforts to evaluate all properties accurately. For residential properties, there is a cap preventing property taxes from increasing more than 3% per year. Commercial properties do not have any such cap.

[2] Two injured in northeast Albuquerque shooting – Two people are in the hospital following a shooting in northeast Albuquerque. Albuquerque police say two people were found with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning near Wyoming Blvd and Chico Rd. There is no update on their condition at this time.

[3] Widespread rain ahead and muggy, breezy weather – Heading into the workweek, we will see more moisture across the state. This will bring isolated afternoon showers and storms across New Mexico through midweek. A more traditional monsoon pattern will begin to set up for the second half of the week. Moisture from the Gulf and the Pacific will move across the southwestern parts of the country. This will bring more scattered showers and storms to New Mexico through the end of the workweek…
