Burglary Suspect Confronted by Father in Wheelchair During Southeast Albuquerque Break-In

A father in a wheelchair faced a frightening situation when a burglary suspect forced his way into his southeast Albuquerque apartment.

According to police, the suspect—identified as Michael Salas—was fleeing officers after allegedly breaking into another home and leading them on a car chase. The pursuit ended near Gibson and Yale, where Salas entered the apartment of Anthony Nichogi and his young son.
