Hubbell Trading Post Road Show closes for the year

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s the last day people were able to observe and participate in the rich traditions of Navajo trading and crafts at the Petroglyph National Monument. The Hubbell Trading Post Road Show immerses people in Navajo culture by doing live demonstrations of Indigenous crafts, all against the backdrop of one of the largest petroglyph sites in North America.

“We’re always told by our elders that if you take care of your sheep, it’ll take care of you. That is the reason why we travel to these parks. They’re not only items to use for decor, they’re blessings and gifts to give and to return the warmth back into the home of the owners,” says trader Wallace James.

They plan on having another trading post next year…
