Man pleads guilty to Albuquerque shooting that killed 1, injured another

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man pleaded guilty to a shooting that left one person dead and another injured in June 2024, according to the Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman.

According to the DA, Lewis and two other people were walking in the area when Gerald punched a person that Lewis was with because he reportedly owed Gerald money. Edward ran towards the fight, and Lewis started shooting multiple rounds at them, killing Gerald and injuring Edward.

Lewis was arrested a month later during an unrelated shoplifting incident, during which police discovered he was wanted for the murder…
