St. James Tearoom

This award-winning tearoom has called Albuquerque home since 1999, with a mission to “give guests a full English tea experience, including comfort, elegance, refinement, and civility.” Located at Osuna Road, the St. James menu changes with a new theme each month.

The theme from July 1 to 27 was deemed “Tea in the Hundred Acre Woods.” Some menu highlights include “Eeyore’s Blueberry Chicken Salad,” “Pooh’s Hunny Pot Ice Cream,” and a variety of breads. The theme is now moving on to “Tea with Mr. Darcy: In Honor of Jane Austen.” The menu features dishes like “Mr. Bingley’s Rocket and Blackberry Salad,” “Wickham’s Pecan Chess Pie,” and two different types of scones.

“Our guests call the Tearoom their sanctuary, a retreat where they can find respite from the frantic pace, the noise, the distractions, and pressures of their world. Most of our guests live in the Albuquerque area, and most come back to tea, if not every month, then maybe quarterly or annually, repeating the experience as much as they can,” said a St. James Tearoom spokesperson. “Our guests come because the Tearoom allows them time and opportunity to strengthen and grow their precious relationships, share their love and friendship, celebrate special moments together, and enjoy creative monthly menus, carefully crafted food, and the finest teas. “

The Ivy Tearoom

This tearoom has been part of the community since 2015. They aim for a glamorous experience offering traditional tea as well as “tipsy tea” with a rotating menu for each month. Last month’s theme was “Wizard of Oz” including offerings like the “Yellow Brick Lemon Scone” and “Tin Man’s Tender Crunch.” The upcoming theme, “Summer’s End,” features hummus bites as well as apricot scones.

The tearoom offers various suites and cottages with different aesthetics. There’s also a VIP program with a slew of perks, including suite request priority, free photograph space rental, and a free glass of bubbly for every 21+ guest on every reservation. And if you’re looking to get someone a present, they offer gift packages with tea, a teacup, and more…
