ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico resumed its New Student Orientation on Wednesday, less than a week after a fatal shooting at the Casas Del Rio dormitory.
Michael LaMotte, 14, was identified as the victim in the July 25 shooting. The two-day orientation was canceled following the incident. According to UNM, about 400 students were registered for the session.
