ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A buyer has now been found for 119 JCPenney stores, including both stores in Albuquerque.
Boston-based Onyx Partners, Ltd. entered into a purchase agreement with Copper Property CTL Pass Through Trust to purchase the stores for $947 million. Onyx announced the all-cash deal in a press release issued July 25. They will close on the deal Sept. 8.
The sale includes the JCPenney locations at Coronado Center and Cottonwood Mall in Albuquerque and over 100 others across 34 other U.S. states. The stores will reportedly remain open, regardless of ownership…
