Upcoming lane closure on Rio Bravo Blvd. will impact Albuquerque drivers

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Drivers will be impacted by a lane closure on westbound Rio Bravo Blvd., west of the bridge over the Rio Grande in Albuquerque. The lane closure starts Saturday, August 2, as part of pipeline relocation project by the New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC).

The lane closure is expected to last two months as the gas company relocates the natural gas pipeline that runs across the Rio Bravo bridge. Westbound drivers will encounter the closure in the right lane of Rio Bravo after driving across the river, where two westbound lanes will merge into one, according to NMGC. Eastbound traffic will not be impacted. Drivers are asked to slow down and be aware of equipment and personnel in the area.
