ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Isotopes are back in town for a two-week homestand and there’s plenty to preview for the days ahead.
Saturday night is Dukes Retro Night so the Isotopes will Dukes throwback jerseys. They will also induct Franklin Stubbs and A.J. Ellis into their Hall of Fames.
“Franklin Stubbs played for the Dukes back in the day. He hit a lot of home runs for them. He played for the Dodgers in the 1988 World Series. He was also a hitting coach for the Isotopes in 2013 and ’14,” said Forest Stulting, with the Isotopes. “Then, of course, A.J. Ellis as well. He was a catcher for the Isotopes and he was a very great catcher for the Dodgers as well. He caught Clayton Kershaw’s perfect game. He was in the big leagues for a long time.”…
