Community rallies around local boy waiting for heart transplant

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Most 8-year-olds beg for more screen time, but Hunter Rael longs for less of it.

Hunter was diagnosed with a rare disease called Kawasaki disease in 2022. It started with a fever and body aches. Then, it took multiple trips to urgent care and an Albuquerque hospital before doctors figured it out.
