ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Families on the west side were cruising into the school year as two more school supply drives took place Saturday. Organizers say this is the eighth year of Cruzin’ into the School Year, and families couldn’t be happier.

“I feel that we have families come to us often asking for resources, and why not come to one location and multiple resources be here,” says Raquel Cordova-Martinez, community recreation supervisor with West Mesa Community Center. “The families are appreciative, they tell us. We have a line wrapped around the entire building this morning. The event didn’t start until 10, but they were there at 7:40.”…
