ALBUQUERQUE – The Downs at Albuquerque on Monday and Tuesday will host a total of 32 trials featuring more than 300 2-year-olds competing for a spot in the sport’s richest race, the $3-million, Grade 1 All American Futurity to be held on Labor Day, September 1.
This will mark the second consecutive year that the 440-yard race will be held in Albuquerque after Ruidoso Downs Race Track suffered extensive damage from flooding. Post time for the 16 trials on both days is 11 a.m.
Monday’s trials will kick off with a bang as the first race features the undefeated Political Twist, winner of both the $1-million Ruidoso Futurity at Ruidoso Downs and $365,271 West Texas Futurity at Sunland Park.
