Albuquerque man sentenced for helping cover up kidnapping, murder on Navajo Nation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man was sentenced to prison on Monday for helping cover up the kidnapping and murder of a man in the To’Hajiilee area of the Navajo Nation.

The Department of Justice said Peter Paul Sandoval, 60, helped Antonio Chaco cover up the murder of Thomas Brown in June 2020 by cleaning blood in the car that was used to move Brown.

Investigators said that Chaco assaulted Brown outside Chaco’s trailer home and then rolled Brown in a square of carpet and brought him to a remote desert location. There, Chaco continued to assault Brown before leaving him without water, food, or shelter…
