ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The City of Albuquerque is inching closer to breaking ground on a $120 million development with transit, housing and business space.
The “Uptown Connect” project is envisioned as a way to bring together public transit, affordable housing and business opportunities.
“A lot of people create apartments but we really like combining those apartments with commercial components to kind of create that vitality, that energy, that will reinvigorate communities,” said Rebecca Velarde, the director of development with Palindrome. “We want people to live here and work here and shop here, and we want it to be a draw for people in throughout Albuquerque.”…
