Ordinance set to stop pet sales on public property in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — If you’re found to be selling pets on public property in Albuquerque, you can now be charged and have your animals taken away.

Albuquerque city councilors approved changes to the HEART ordinance. It’s a framework for caring for pets across the city and part of it is designed to help stop pet overpopulation.
