ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Around 50 block parties and cookouts are set to happen Tuesday night all over Albuquerque as part of the annual National Night Out.
The goal is to help fight crime by strengthening community ties. Albuquerque Fire Rescue Lt. Jason Fejer and Albuquerque Police Officer Randy Serrano stopped by to talk about the block parties.
“Well we have 23 stations here, soon to be 23 stations, so each one of those stations has kind of a unique connection to the neighborhoods they serve. So what National Night Out does, it just reestablishes some of those connections between firefighters, law enforcement and the neighborhoods that they serve,” Fejer said…
