ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A fine dining Italian restaurant in Nob Hill has closed its doors for good, according to a message displayed on its website.

The message from Scalo states that its leadership team tried to keep the restaurant open but was unable to do so.
After nearly 40 years of operation, time has come for Scalo to close its doors .We were trying keep this Scalo flame alive by operating it at a loss and still trying to find a new buyer to take it over. Unfortunately, we had no success in that pursuit and we were forced to shut down.So long and thanks for all the memories!

Apart from the message, all that remains on Scalo’s website is a photo gallery that shows numerous dishes, drinks, and the inside and outside of the restaurant.
A previous message on Scalo’s stated that the restaurant would be closed starting on June 15 for rebranding and renovations and would open in a “few weeks” under new ownership…
