Albuquerque police crack down on speeding in school zones as students return

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — As thousands of New Mexico students settle into the first week of school, Albuquerque police are stepping up enforcement in school zones – and some drivers are already being cited for speeding.

In just the first two days of the school year, the Albuquerque Police Department issued 99 warnings and citations to drivers in school zones.
