Local motel housekeeper recounts the moment she saved a 1-year-old from overdosing

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A local 1-year-old girl is alive because of the quick actions taken by a housekeeper who was at the right place at the right time.

“She was stiff, she was gone. My first reaction was, just keep on giving the CPR, because that baby deserves her life,” Angelina Silva said. “I reacted in a way I would towards my daughter, you know, and I didn’t want to stop giving her compressions.”
