VIDEO: Neighbor feud ends with Rio Rancho police tasing man

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Most people can understand having a pesky neighbor and how it feels when they’ve gone too far. That was the case for one couple when their neighbor kept messing with their front door. They called the police, who just wanted to talk with the man, when he answered the door with a knife in each hand.

Police were called to an apartment on Arrowhead Ridge in Rio Rancho in July. The couple who live there told officers their neighbor, later identified as Justin Shirley, had been antagonizing them for days.

The officers looked in the man’s window and saw he was holding a knife. They announced themselves and asked him to come out.Officer: “Put the knife down, open the door.”
