ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — A total of eight new speed cameras are set to be installed in the City of Albuquerque. This would bring the total number of speed cameras up to 28.

The first of these cameras were installed in 2022 to address “widespread, dangerous speeding on city streets.” According to the city, data shows significant changes in driver behavior with both average speed, and number of drivers speeding decreasing.
The new cameras are slated for these locations:
- Central, between Louisiana and San Pedro, eastbound
- Central, between Louisiana and San Pedro, westbound
- Lead near Bryn Mawr
- Coors north of St. Joseph, southbound
- Coors north of St. Joseph, northbound
- Eubank, south of Montgomery, southbound
- Tramway south of Lomas
- Carlisle near Delamar
