ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman isn’t pulling any punches after Wednesday’s separate incidents involving six students and five guns across three high school campuses.
His office is pushing to keep all of the teen suspects in custody while they await trial.
Bregman has long said New Mexico, and Albuquerque, are in the middle of a juvenile crime epidemic. Wednesday’s incidents on or near several APS high schools are an example that more needs to be done to fix the issue…
