ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexicans gathered to celebrate their deep-rooted love for green chile at Expo New Mexico on Saturday. The Bosque Chile Fest took over Villa Hispaña to celebrate bold flavors, locally produced green chile, and all things heat.

“I’m fascinated about making chile ristras, preserving the chile pepper for a longer period of time, rather than just roasting it, you can transform it into this decor for your house, and you would string it. It takes a lot of art, a lot of skill, but it has been passed from my dad on to my sisters and myself,” said the owner of Chile Konnection, Francisco.
