ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Over 250 unwanted guns are off the streets and on their way to be turned into something completely different.
The executive director for New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence, Miranda Viscoli, says it was a successful gun buyback event, not because of how many guns they took in, but because of the reason they are taking in guns.
“We took in six stolen guns, and those are the guns we really want to get out of our communities, because those guns are not going to end up in the right hands.”…
