NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Sunday, dozens gathered to gaze at vintage cars and support New Mexico’s many veterans. Expo New Mexico hosted the “Pistons for Patriots,” a car show built on creating a community of veteran businesses supporting other veterans.

Sunday’s goal was to raise money for “Paws and Stripes,” a local non-profit that helps train shelter dogs to become service dogs for veterans with PTSD. “Just this weekend, we’ve made dozens of contacts with veterans who could use either mental health resources, they could use a service dog, or maybe they could just use some guidance in navigating their benefits that they earn through their service,” said Kirk Daniels, Director of Development at Paws and Stripes…
