Wellness Wednesday: Protecting your ears from noise-induced hearing loss

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — For this week’s Wellness Wednesday, we’re talking about one of the hazards of game crowds – noise-induced hearing loss.

Dr. Hunter Gerhart, the director of audiology at the Livingston Hearing Aid Center, stopped by to talk about how to prevent noise-induced hearing loss. Gerhart said the average football game is about 90-100 decibels – and anything over 85 decibels can case permanent or even temporary hearing loss.
