ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Monsoon moisture will increase and lead to higher chances of rain and flash flooding Friday and Saturday in New Mexico.
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque issued a flood watch for the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, western San Miguel County and the northern Sacramento Mountains, including Ruidoso. The watch will go into effect Friday at noon for all of the areas.
However, with Hurricane Lorena weakening to a post-tropical cyclone, Friday’s models have been a little less aggressive with rain. Still, we could still see numerous thunderstorms firing up throughout the day…
