Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court warns about jail release scam calls

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court issues a warning to the community about scam calls related to the release of individuals from jail.

The court says they have been notified about an individual making calls and identifying themselves as a sergeant with the court, saying a family member is eligible to be released from jail, but payment is needed to release that individual on an ankle monitor.
