The new technology interprets metadata, recognizing if power interruptions are caused by weather or by cyber attacks, and then recommends steps to remedy the issues. Builders said that with a bit more fine-tuning, the AI auto-encoder could be used to protect other critical infrastructure systems like factories and data centers.
