[2] Valencia County Sheriff’s Office speaks on drug trafficking arrest – VCSO gave information on a recent drug bust. Deputies said the accused drug trafficker was a mom who they said was putting her seven-year-old son in danger. Deputies obtained a search warrant for a trailer home in Los Lunas. Investigators said 37-year-old Adelita Martinez, is suspected of drug trafficking. When deputies entered the home, her son was also there. They found nearly 390 grams of fentanyl, 4.5 grams of Methamphetamine, two guns, and $2,350 in cash in the house. Martinez was arrested and charged for drug trafficking, drug distribution, and abuse of a child.

[3] Monsoon system approaches around New Mexico – Storm chances increase across parts of New Mexico into the end of the week with cooler air by the weekend. Scattered storms will pop up across most of western and northern New Mexico, along with central parts of the state, down to the Sacramento Mountain, and in eastern New Mexico. Some showers will stick around overnight and into Thursday morning in central and northern parts of the state.

[4] New Bernalillo County Fire Chief – Today is Chief Zachary Lardy’s first day overseeing personnel across 14 districts for Bernalillo County Fire Rescue. As fire chief, he will oversee department operations, training, budgeting, emergency preparedness, interagency coordination, compliance and more.
