ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A repeat offender was in court Thursday morning for breaking into storage units and trying to sell the stolen contents on Facebook.

According to police, Lee Brandenburg was renting storage space and using his key code access to the lot to steal from other storage units. Brandenburg was previously convicted of the same scheme in 2021. Brandenburg pleaded guilty to two counts of larceny. According to the plea agreement he will spend a year behind bars, followed by five years of probation.
