Son charged for killing his father in northeast Albuquerque, APD says

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A 20-year-old man was charged with an open count of murder for killing his 44-year-old father while the two were completing a home repair job in northeast Albuquerque this week, Albuquerque Police announced Friday.

Anthony Hargreaves told detectives that he and his father, Keith Hargreaves, were cleaning up and fixing a home at the 5400 block of Edwards Dr. NE, slept at home on Wednesday night, woke up Thursday morning, and smoked methamphetamine, APD said.
