Isolated storm chances as drier air settles in for the weekend

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A bit of a pattern change is expected this weekend for New Mexico and southern Colorado. Drier air will take precedence through Saturday and Sunday, bringing sunnier skies. On Sunday, sunnier skies and mild high temperatures will blanket the region with a few spotty rain chances in northeast New Mexico and parts of the Northern Mountains.

On Monday, the globe will receive roughly an equal amount of daylight due to the Earth’s axis not being tilted toward or away from the sun.

After the first day of fall showers, storm chances may continue throughout next week. High temperatures in Albuquerque are expected to trend in the 80s. Enjoy the weekend along with the blue skies and sunshine…
