KRQE Cares Shoes for Kids visits Alamosa Elementary School

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  Members of KRQE News 13 visited Alamosa Elementary School on Friday as part of our KRQE Cares Shoes for Kids campaign, which provides new shoes to students.

Chief Meteorologist Grant Tosterud, alongside Investigative Reporters Gabrielle Burkhart and Ann Pierret, helped with the distribution event. Students also recieved socks, a book, a snack bag, and dental supplies.

Alamosa Elementary School Principal Cory Donley said excitement flooded the halls as students were very eager to receive their new footwear. “It’s been pure excitement. It’s been a lot of smiling faces. A lot of singing in the line, trying to get there. They’ve been really excited. We’ve been telling them about this for a few weeks now. The excitement has been building,” he said…
