BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A mobile health clinic serving some of Bernalillo County’s most underserved families is being forced to shut down after the county abruptly canceled its contract. The program’s operators said they were blindsided by the decision—and fear the move will leave vulnerable children without critical care.

The clinic, known as Health Yeah!, is operated by the national organization Wellness Equity Alliance (WEA). It provides medical and behavioral health services to students and families in underserved areas across the county.
The program was about halfway through a two-year contract when Bernalillo County issued a 30-day notice that the contract would be terminated early. “With no explanation.
