ALBUQUERQUE – Owner/trainer Fred Danley teamed with jockey James Flores to send Pour Me a Drinkk into the starting gate as the fastest qualifier for the Oct. 12 New Mexico State Fair Quarter Horse Futurity after winning his trial by 4½ lengths Friday at Albuquerque Downs.
The 2-year-old gelded son of Prospect to the Top raced 400 yards in a final time of 19.272 seconds, winning the 12th of 14 trials held on the day, bettering the second fastest time of the day turned in by Eddy Cartel by more than two-tenths of a second.
