ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man was accused of putting a motorcyclist in the hospital after crashing into him while drinking and driving. But it wasn’t just other drivers put in danger; his two young children were also in the car.

Albuquerque police responded to a hit and run on Central Ave. and Girard Blvd. back in May. The motorcyclist involved was rushed to the hospital. Miles away at a northeast apartment complex, other officers found the suspected driver, 28-year-old Anthony Nez. Nez’s maroon Chevy Avalanche was seen driving away from the scene after the accident.
Nez slurred his words, talking to officers and told officers, “he’s hurt.” Nez denied taking anything. Officer: “You are just acting kind of weird, man, and your vehicle’s a little wrecked, your front tire, what happened with that?” …
