APD searching for Marshall’s arson suspect

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are looking for a man accused of setting fire to a northeast Albuquerque department store, and it’s not the first time he’s been in trouble with the law. Police say 49-year-old Nathan Castillo set fire to the Marshall’s department store on Montgomery Boulevard last Thursday.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) posted surveillance video to their social media, showing Castillo walking away from the area where the flames erupted. Court documents say that the on-site security noticed Castillo in the process of stealing goods.

The officer kept his eye on him, and after a short time, he placed his good son on the floor, stepped on the back of the store, and soon, customers noticed smoke. APD is still searching for his whereabouts…
